JOB DESCRIPTION

Engineering Interns 2026

Summer/Fall/Winter

StandardAero is seeking motivated, eager, and innovative students looking to join one of our Engineering Teams for the 2026 term.

As an Engineering intern at StandardAero, you will gain hands-on industry experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with our teams that raise the standard of excellence.

Over the course of your 10-12 week (or longer) internship, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Partner with existing production engineering teams to support the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) operations in Dallas, TX
  • Students will work with experience engineers on project types that include Repair Industrialization, Tools and Fixture Design and Manufacture, and Process Improvement

What you’ll do:

Students will be involved in developing, implementing repairs with the DFW Engine Repair Center which will include the following:

  • Develop and implement repairs for engine components in accordance with approved technical data.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams consisting of technicians, engineers, customer service representatives, and specialists to complete initiatives on-time.
  • Coordinates process improvement initiates using lean methodologies.
  • Works with configuration control specialists to support creation and modification of routings for repairs.
  • Reviews Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) technical documents and other engineering data to understand requirements and procures and/or develops equipment to enable repair capability and capabilities.
  • Creates new engineering data and instructions for processes as required.
  • Observes all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
  • Carries out special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Completed engineering courses at the Sophomore level.
  • Knowledge of MS Office products, to include Excel, Project, and Word.
  • Proficiency in CAD and drafting such as but not limited to Inventor, Fusion360, other Autodesk Products, or SolidWorks.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Internship Details:
  • The internship term will be (depending on candidate availability - Summer/Fall/Winter
  • The length of the internship is 10-12 weeks (or longer)
  • Ability to work full-time or part-time during Summer and at least part time during Fall/Winter.
  • Internship is located in Dallas, TX; **students must have own lodging.
  • 1 Internship or Co-op slot available
