Main Office Receptionist/Front Desk/Prevention & Wellness - LHS
Overview: The Main Office Receptionist will provide administrative and clerical support for the Main Office. The position is designed to be flexible so that it may support other departments and student programs as needed/assigned.
Reports to: Principal
Employee Status: Educational Support Professional - Main Office Receptionist
ESP Bargaining Union
Calendar: Twelve-Month Employee, 7:30am - 4:00pm
Qualifications: Education and experience equivalent to high school graduation
Professional/Personal Characteristics:
  • Previous experience in an educational setting preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently under varying deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to identify sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
  • Proficient with Google G-Suite, office and phone equipment
Job Responsibilities:
  • Receptionist for Main Office
  • Answer all incoming phone calls and provide assistance to school guests as needed.
  • Provide additional administrative and clerical support to the Principal, Student Activities Director, and others as needed/assigned
  • Coordinate communication on our website, bulletin, announcements, and internal hallway screens
  • Assist in major school events such as graduation, open house, 8th grade orientation, and honors night
  • Assist in summer registration (Work permits and Counselor appointments)
  • Handle information requests from the public
  • Assist in coordinating LHS/VHHS offices/resource area needs
  • Maintain office procedures
  • Operate office equipment, e.g. photocopy machine
  • Maintain hard copy and electronic filing system
  • Support all tasks as assigned by supervisor
