JOB SUMMARY

As anAdventureGuide atCrystalMountain, you will motivate,delight, andguide ourguests on dailyadventures throughout the CrystalMountaingreatoutdoors.You willcommit to providing excellent experiencesand memories of a lifetime.Primary activities include our aerialadventurecourse, climbingwall, and miningsluice. Other guided activities in support of our group sales and events teams as applicable.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Lead our guests on outdoor excursionsincluding:guided interpretive hikes, aerial ropes course, and other activities as assigned.

  • Help conduct routine maintenance and inspection of the aerial ropes course.

  • Perform general maintenance tasks including trail work,sign making, and supporting otherdepartmentsprojects.

  • Respond to customer concerns/questions

  • Contribute toa positive workingenvironment

  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and secure workingenvironment

  • Promote and ensure safe practices using all required PPE and adhering to proper safety protocolsin all activities

  • Inspect equipment for safety concerns

  • Promote and marketactivity options to our guests

  • Help oversee stock levels andalert management whensuppliesareneeded

  • Attenddaily pre-shift meetingsand necessary trainings

  • Gather guest feedback and recommend improvements to management

  • Establish pre-function side work to be performed and make sure all equipment is accounted for and in good condition, notifyingtheManager of any issues.

  • Use and understand Points of Sale.

  • Promote andmaintainthe highest level of customer service byanticipatingthe needs of our guests even before they realize what they need

  • Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refer the matter to management. Notify supervisor of all unusual events, circumstances, missingitemsor alleged thefts.

  • Develop andmaintainan organizational culture,valuesand reputation with staff and guests.

  • Ensure a positive, harmonious, compliant, and cooperative work environment.

  • Act as a representative of Crystal Mountain with guests & community members.

  • Abide by all Crystal Mountain employment guidelines.

  • Off mountain shifts supporting group sales & events may occasionally berequired.

  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE,SKILLAND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Basic First Aid & CPR Required

  • EMT/WFR/WFA certificationpreferred

  • All guides must complete mandatory Aerial Course training in spring.

  • High energy, positiveattitudeand excellent communication skills

  • Basic knowledge of P.O.S. systems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This positionisrequiredto work evenings, weekends, and holidays while in operation.

  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position at least 50 pounds occasionally.

  • Comfort working at heights, this position willutilizefull body harness and routinely navigate features of the aerial challenge course.

  • Must be able to climb, balance, and otherwise navigate all elements of the aerial ropes course.

  • Auditory and visual acuity tooperateradios, mobile devices, and basic outdoor equipment constantly.

  • Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing, and pulling constantly.

  • Manual dexterity tooperatetechnical equipment associated with the aerial ropes course.

  • Auditory and visual acuity tooperatecomputers, phones, mobiledevicesand basic office equipment on a constant basis.

  • Ability to work for extended periods of time bending, reaching, and speaking constantly.

  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in communicating with guests, supervisors, and other employees,mustbe able to listen and respond with proper customer service.
