Job description

The Seasonal Adventure Specialist supports the Recreation team by delivering safe, engaging and memorable outdoor experiences for resort guests. This role is responsible for assisting with a wide variety of seasonal recreation offerings, including guided hikes, lake activities and family-friendly adventure programming. The Seasonal Adventure Specialist must be energetic, guest-focused and confident working outdoors in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong safety awareness and exceptional service standards.
Guest Activities & Program Support
  • Lead or assist with guided hikes while providing guests with a safe, enjoyable and informative experience.
  • Support lake recreation activities including kayak and paddleboard setup, instruction, monitoring and guest assistance.
  • Assist with a variety of additional recreation offerings such as archery, axe throwing, climbing wall and other seasonal adventure activities.
  • Provide clear instructions, demonstrations and safety guidelines for all activities.
  • Create a fun, welcoming and professional environment for guests of all ages and skill levels.
  • Encourage participation and positively engage guests throughout all activities and events.

Safety & Equipment Oversight
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with resort safety standards and operating procedures.
  • Monitor guest participation and enforce activity rules to promote a safe environment.
  • Inspect recreation equipment before and after use and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
  • Assist with setup, breakdown, storage and cleanliness of all activity areas and equipment.
  • Respond calmly and professionally to guest concerns, weather changes or operational adjustments.

Team & Operational Support
  • Work collaboratively with the Recreation team to support daily programming and special events.
  • Assist with activity scheduling, guest check-in and general organization of recreation spaces as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization and presentation of all recreation areas.
  • Adapt to changing business needs, weather conditions and seasonal activity demands.
  • Represent Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe with professionalism, enthusiasm and a strong commitment to guest service.
