SUMMARY Substance Abuse Program Director coordinates and directs all services for the residents in the programs. Develops and meets the goals of all assigned contracts. Supervises all assigned program staff. Networks with the recovery community and other service providers and represents the agency in all areas, as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Shall be knowledgeable and experienced with the provision of state licensed and/or certified residential non-medical alcohol and other drug abuse recovery treatment detoxification services, including: maintaining an alcohol and drug free environment, admission criteria screening, intake process, individual and group sessions, participant referral procedures, participant file documentation procedures, Title 42 code of Federal regulations, Part 2, regarding confidentiality, non-discrimination of delivery services, participant discharge and follow-up procedures.

· Responsible for meeting the objectives as set forth in funding contracts.

· Responsible for census and ensuring it is following G.L.O.M. standards.

· Reports to governmental agencies as may be required by contract and/or regulations.

· Implements and supports all program guidelines and rules.

· Monitors budget and reporting requirements and makes recommendations to the Senior Director as needed.

· Ensures assigned staff is trained on all aspects of the program and provides a platform for ongoing professional development.

· Represents G.L.O.M. Substance Abuse Program in civic activities, as well as attends all program-related meetings in the continuum of care.

· Oversees all program-related events.

· Responsible for the overall safety and security of the site.

· Along with Senior Director, plans and directs the Program’s class schedules.

· Support the continued development of the Program.

· Ensures requests for medical records of residents and former residents are handled in a timely and appropriate manner.

· Provides internal audit regulatory of client Records.

· Assists with developing curriculum and resources for specialized training for group educational sessions; obtains specialized training and may develop resources to train other staff; implements and modifies specialized training programs; presents special group training throughout the agency.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

· Must have knowledge of alcohol and/or other drug related problems, including withdrawal effects of alcohol and other drugs.

· A minimum of three years of full-time experience supervising staff providing direct services to clients in the alcohol and other drug field and/or equivalent working experience in a supervisor role.

· Knowledgeable and experienced with the provision of state licensed and/or certified residential non-medical alcohol and other drug abuse recovery treatment detoxification services, including: maintaining an alcohol and drug free environment, admission criteria screening, intake process, individual and group sessions, participant referral procedures, participant file documentation procedures, Title 42 code of Federal regulations, Part 2, regarding confidentiality, non-discrimination of delivery services, participant discharge and follow-up procedures,

· CPR/ First Aid Certified

· Previous experience in counseling, social work, or other related fields.

· Exercises mature judgment and projects a professional demeanor.

· Minimum of 3 years of progressive supervisory experience in a residential setting.

· Good problem solving and conflict resolution skills.

· Excellent professional and personal boundaries with clients.
