Your Primary Responsibilities will include
  • Cost estimating, proposal drafting, scope and fee negotiation of SUE projects and tasks.
  • Oversight of SUE Field Coordinator, technical personnel and subcontractors as needed to complete all aspects of SUE projects within DRMP Orlando office's range.
  • Maintain list of backlogged projects with priorities for scheduling
  • Advise SUE Field Coordinator of priorities and approve field schedules and crew make-up
  • Assist SUE Field Coordinator in cooperation with Survey Field Coordinator to ensure prompt data collection of SUE data
  • Ensure delivery of collected SUE data to proper office staff for production of deliverables
  • Communicate deliverables with clients/customers and follow up with queries on customer satisfaction/contract completeness
  • Monitor project budgets and perform invoice reviews.
  • Coordination and assistance with SUE Group Leaders in other territories including maintaining schedules/backlog tracking, sharing personnel and equipment availability.
  • Manage training and support for field personnel to enhance quality of service and workflow efficiencies as appropriate.
  • Maintain relationships with current clients and leverage industry knowledge to identify prospective clients in untapped market sectors in conjunction with local project managers and Division/Assistant Division Lead (i.e. presentations, white papers, and value engineering studies).
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary units to fulfill project needs as well as integrate technological advancements to maintain and enhance workflow processes of SUE operations and deliverables (i.e. leverage GIS/CAD Techs as practical to implement field efficiencies, data security, and alternate deliverable options).
  • Maintain and assist with standardization of QA/QC processes across territories to adhere to company requirements, industry guidelines, and best practices.
  • Assist financial projections, book of business backlog, and equipment inventory of DRMP's Surveying and Mapping/Geospatial group.
  • Assist Utility Coordination efforts in conjunction with project engineers to adhere to statutory process of utility certification on FDOT projects.
  • Perform annual employee performance reviews and coach personnel on career tracts.

What you'll need
  • A minimum of 8 years in the Subsurface Utility Engineering profession.
  • Valid driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history required.
  • Successful history of project management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of SUE geophysical designating, ground-penetrating radar (GPR) and vacuum excavation equipment and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of CADD systems; including MicroStation, Geopak, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
