Administrative Assistant - Oakland International Academy Full-Time | In Person
Oakland International Academy is looking for a warm, organized, and dependable Administrative Assistant to be the heart of our school office. This role is the first point of contact for students, families, and visitors - and plays a critical part in keeping daily operations running smoothly.
What You'll Do
  • Serve as the front-line welcome for students, parents, and visitors, maintaining a positive and professional office environment
  • Answer phones, route calls, and respond to inquiries with care and professionalism
  • Manage student records, absences, tardies, and lunch payments
  • Support state reporting requirements including MCIRS, MSDS, and similar submissions
  • Assist with newsletters, parent communications, and promotional materials
  • Maintain the school calendar and provide administrative support to building leadership
  • Onboard new staff into Timeclock and distribute payroll
  • Attend meetings, take minutes, and handle general office duties as needed

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills - written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
