• Conduct crisis assessments and provide immediate therapeutic interventions to clients in mental health emergencies, ensuring their safety and stabilization.
• Deliver compassionate counseling services to individuals requiring urgent mental health support, employing effective communication to build rapport and trust.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, ensuring a coordinated approach to client safety during critical situations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of client interactions and treatment progress in accordance with ethical and legal standards applicable to mental health counseling.
• Utilize crisis intervention strategies and de-escalation techniques to manage complex situations effectively, tailoring approaches to meet the individual needs of clients.

You will be working primarily with individuals facing acute mental health crises, particularly those related to substance misuse and addiction. Clients may include adults experiencing emotional distress, trauma-related issues, or suicidal ideation, all of which require a sensitive and culturally aware approach. Your role is pivotal in creating healing connections that empower clients to navigate their challenges and find pathways to recovery.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) designation.
• A minimum of three years of recent experience in crisis intervention and mental health counseling, specifically dealing with high-stress situations.

• Advanced training or certification in crisis counseling, trauma-informed care, or related methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to apply evidence-based crisis intervention strategies and de-escalation techniques in practice.
• Experience working in a telehealth setting is advantageous, as it requires unique skills and adaptability to virtual client interactions.
• Proficiency in languages other than English is a plus, given our diverse patient population.
