Job description

About the Daily Beast

The Daily Beast delivers award-winning original reporting and sharp opinions from big personalities in politics, pop culture, world news, and more. Fiercely independent and armed with irreverent intelligence, now reaching more than 20 million readers per month. The Daily Beast is based in New York and is an operating business of IAC (NASDAQ: IAC).

About the Role

The Manager, Subscription Marketing will support the execution and optimization of subscriber growth initiatives across acquisition and email marketing for The Daily Beast.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Product Marketing, you will help increase the velocity of experimentation across the subscription funnel, executing marketing tests and initiatives across email, paywalls, landing pages, and promotional campaigns.

This role will be deeply involved in email marketing operations and testing — building campaigns, launching experiments, and analyzing performance to drive subscriber growth. You will collaborate closely with the Subscriptions team and stakeholders cross-functionally to ensure marketing campaigns and experiments are executed effectively across channels.

This role is ideal for a growth-oriented marketer who enjoys working hands-on in marketing platforms to execute campaigns and using experimentation to drive measurable improvements in subscription conversion and engagement.

Core Responsibilities

  • 3–5 years of experience in digital marketing, lifecycle marketing, email marketing, and/or growth marketing

  • Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms such as Sailthru, Braze, Iterable, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud

  • Experience executing marketing campaigns within marketing platforms

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics

  • Experience with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

  • Experience working in a subscription, digital media, newsletter, or direct-to-consumer business model strongly preferred

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tests and campaigns simultaneously

  • Proactive self-starter

What We Offer:

  • This position is hybrid (2+ days in office)

  • A mission-driven team passionate about quality and bold journalism

  • Opportunities for growth and professional development

  • A collaborative and flexible work environment

  • Competitive salary and benefits package

Compensation

The pay range for this full-time position is $80,000-$95,000.

The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, performance and other factors. The range listed is just one component of the Daily Beast’s total compensation package. The Daily Beast provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, 401K employer matching program, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
