Job description

Westlake Injury Law is a busy personal injury law firm who is looking for a full-time pre-litigation case manager. This position requires great organization and time management skills.

Experience required is 1 year minimum. Your responsibilities will include managing personal injury case files from intake to demand. Attention to detail and accuracy is essential.

About the firm:

We have established bi-annual performance reviews where each team member is eligible up to 10% bonus based on last 6 months earnings. Additional benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, 401(k) and 17 paid holidays plus 3 weeks of accrued PTO.

A successful candidate must be prepared to:

- Communicate and correspond with clients, providers, body shops, analysts and insurance adjusters.

- Manage client’s medical care by keeping in constant communication with client’s and medical providers. Schedule and calendar medical appointments all while explaining procedures and related documentation to the client.

- Monitor and manage case status and prepare case cost analysis.

- Open Subrogation with appropriate entity (Medicare, Medi-cal, Private insurance etc.).

- Prepare demands, uninsured/underinsured motorist demand, and demands for arbitration.

- Work with clients to identify their medical treatment history, to compile lists of treating facilities for which medical and billing records are needed; and order records & billing.

- Handle property damage claims.

Qualifications:

- A combination of experience and education will be taken into consideration.

- Excellent organizational, planning, and follow-up skills. Must have ability to meet deadlines and be efficient, detail oriented, flexible, and a self-starter.

- Complete attention to detail – the individual demonstrates a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness, detailed oriented, monitors own work to ensure quality, and open to feedback.

- Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications (Word and Excel).

- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
