Job description

Ghostrock, LLC, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and a recognized leader in Federal Government contracting, is seeking a Submarine Forward Electronics Technician to join our team in San Diego, CA. This role supports U.S. Navy submarines under the direction of Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) and serves as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Responsibilities:
  • Direct, oversee repair activities, train, troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain the following:
    • Submarine Navigation Systems
    • Submarine Interior Communications (IC) Systems
    • Submarine Electronic Displays and Communication Systems
    • RADAR Systems
    • Associated NAV ET systems and equipment
  • Provide technical support for procurement, installation, at-sea testing, preventive/corrective maintenance, and lifecycle management of systems.
  • Interpret technical manuals, apply repair standards, and maintain accurate technical documentation.

Required Qualifications:
  • NEC: T19A, T18A, or T21A
  • 6+ years of related experience with 688 Los Angeles-class submarines
  • Knowledge and proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining associated systems
  • Strong technical comprehension with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, system drawings, and procedural corrective and repair standards.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to provide technical findings orally and/or written.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related technical applications.

Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and handling tools/equipment.
  • Regular verbal and auditory communication.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to board ships and naval crafts, navigating passageways and steep ladders.
  • Comfortable working in shipboard, submarine, and industrial environments.
