Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking experienced Information Systems Technicians (ITs) with handson Navy experience in GCCSM, CANES, or both, to join our dynamic team at the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) in Wallops Island, VA. SCSC is located on a barrier island on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and operates as a tenant of NASA's Wallops Flight Facility. The center provides highfidelity, platformspecific combat system suites with integrated sensors and supports combat system lifecycle engineering, platform certification, operational evaluation, interoperability testing, and fleet training.
The selected candidate will perform comprehensive system administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting on GCCSM, CANES, and associated Navy C4I systems**. This includes supporting system configuration, software loads, cybersecurity compliance, and network operations across representative AEGIS and SSDS combat system environments.
You will schedule and document maintenance actions in accordance with Navy standards, including use of Navy maintenance tracking tools and configuration management processes. Responsibilities also include maintaining system readiness, managing user accounts, applying patches, and supporting system upgrades in alignment with fleet requirements.
