Job description

Velocity is seeking to hire a Repair Technician. The Repair Technician analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs dye sublimation printers and related equipment; as well as documents all activities performed while maintaining these devices. A high degree of personal responsibility and commitment to quality and excellence is required for the position. Shift: M-F 8:00am-4:30pm EST.
This is a bench repair technician role.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair dye sublimation printers and related equipment with a high degree of quality, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Keep reliable documentation and records of maintenance performed on devices.
  • Troubleshoot devices down to sub-assembly level.
  • Replace defective component(s).
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.
  • Follow and be an active participant in an accurate inventory control program.
  • Provide technical assistance to customer support.
  • Keep workstation and area clean and organized.
  • Able to be cross-trained and flexible in regard to responsibilities and competencies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Intermediate level of electronic and mechanical skills.
  • Functional ability to use tools and calibration instruments.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation.
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, and other basic software.
  • Clear and concise note taking ability.
  • Ability to contribute to the team while completing individual tasks.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Possess independent work skills and ability to work under deadlines.
  • Critical thinking skills to assist in problem solving.
  • Flexible in daily duties to contribute to the Company’s overall goals.

Qualifications, Experience, and Education:
Required:
  • HS Diploma

Preferred:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software
