Job Overview:

The screen-printing technician is responsible for all aspects of screen printing on a variety of substrates including anodized aluminum plates, plastic films, and label stocks. The technician follows company guidelines, specifications, and best practice to meet customer quality requirements. Work should aim to meet safety, quality, and on time delivery metrics at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Pull and prepare materials for the screen-printing operation;
  • Setup, operate, and tear-down manual and automatic screen-printing presses;
  • Inspect screen printed plates and sheets;
  • Screen making, stencil preparation, and screen reclaiming;
  • Prepare or color match inks for screen printing;
  • Perform minor maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and adjustment of screen printing and screen making equipment, in accordance with machine manufacturers’ recommendations;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Escalate issues pertaining to safety, quality, or on time delivery to production coordinator;
  • Maintain a clean work environment throughout each day;
  • Able and willing to learn new processes to expand competency and increase organizational flexibility.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED);
  • Previous experience, training or knowledge in screen printing a plus;
  • Strong mechanical aptitude a plus;
  • Energetic, team player possessing strong attention to detail;
  • Must be willing and able to follow directions;
  • Safety conscious behavior;
  • Excellent attendance record;
  • Able to perform work tasks both independently and in a team-based environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Position requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time;
  • Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds;
  • Position requires good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination, color vision, and ability to adjust between close and distance vision.
