A subcontractor is a professional or company hired by a general contractor to perform specific tasks or provide specialized services on a construction or project site. They typically focus on areas such as electrical, plumbing, or carpentry and work under the project's main contract, often requiring relevant skills, certifications, and adherence to safety standards.
