Position Summary

Matcon Construction Services is seeking a results-driven Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is responsible for financial performance, schedule execution, subcontractor management, and client satisfaction.

The Project Manager serves as the operational leader of the project and is accountable for delivering projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to Matconโ€™s quality standards.

This role requires strong leadership, financial discipline, and the ability to drive accountability across internal teams and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Lead projects from contract execution through final closeout
  • Develop and manage project schedules in coordination with Superintendents
  • Conduct and lead OAC meetings
  • Maintain proactive communication with owners, architects, and stakeholders
  • Ensure alignment between field operations and office coordination
  • Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies

Financial Management & Accountability

  • Develop and manage project budgets
  • Track cost performance and forecast monthly
  • Manage change orders, pricing, and negotiations
  • Review and approve subcontractor pay applications
  • Maintain margin accountability and cost control
  • Provide accurate monthly financial reporting

Subcontractor & Vendor Management

  • Oversee subcontractor buyout process
