Job Description:

The project manager plans, directs and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters. The incumbent will directly manage both the project and the technical support personnel.

Essential Functions:

  • Strong organizational, time-management, trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal / communications skills
  • Leadership and decision-making skills

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Reviews project plan / time frame / procedures on all projects and schedules project coordination meetings with appropriate personnel.
  • Determines technical staffing requirements, schedules and manages appropriate resources needed to complete project.
  • Manage customerโ€™s expectations within project timelines and project budgets, forecasting and scheduling of subcontractors and technicians.
  • Prepares and maintains all necessary paperwork for projects. (i.e. monthly forecast, billings report, Project Management Reviews, etc.)
  • Follow implementation procedures per job on a timely basis.
  • Works well with co-workers in all departments and displays positive attitude toward the work and goals of the Operations department.
  • Is responsible for the performance, demeanor, performance reviews and conduct of technical staff on assigned projects. PM is expected to support staff and ensure staff accountability to both customer and company.
  • Initiates and adapts well to change.
  • Project Engineers/PMโ€™s are responsible as a team to meet project objectives in a proficient and professional manner.
  • PM is responsible for final system testing / job sign-off/ and turnover of a quality product to the customer and SAGE Service Department.
  • Always maintains confidentiality
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screenings (drug, background, and driving history)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Extended hours, overnight stays, and travel as needed
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to talk or hear
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, light lifting, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree desirable

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in managing projects and technical resources
  • Computer knowledge required
