Job Summary:

The Program Manager is a key member of the customer support team and will oversee the delivery of parts and upgrades for domestic and international customers.  He/she reports to the Division Vice President, System and Product Services. The Program Manager must demonstrate strong organizational skills, ability to plan effectively and drive tasks to fruition, as well as excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills. The candidate must be able to work independently and leverage experts to assist in the completion of the assigned programs.

He/she will be an ambassador of NSI-MI Technologies and will need to develop good working relationships with customers and efficiently execute assigned projects to ensure that they are satisfied with the Company's products and services. As a preferred supplier to our customers, it is imperative that communications are timely to ensure that customers are kept up to date.  It is also important that the Program Manager help identify potential new business opportunities including equipment upgrades, training and other products and services.  The day-to-day activity is management of a portfolio of programs of various sizes, typically under $1M, with full responsibility for program financial management.

The ideal candidate will have work experience with RF systems or electromechanical components, experience in overseeing the delivery of complex technical systems or products and demonstrate an ability to manage tasks to schedule and budget.  If you do not have experience in oversight and delivery of technical complex content, this job may not be for you.  Experience with mechanical positioning systems or robotics is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of complex engineering projects and ensure financial, technical and schedule objectives are met or exceeded and monitor and report on progress.
  • Perform financial analysis and projections of projects and present status to company management.
  • Manage and coordinate resources within the organization to realize project goals.
  • Coordinate the work of the assigned project team with emphasis on exercising appropriate financial and technical judgment to meet financial and technical project goals.
  • Provide oversight of multi-disciplinary engineering team during the design, development, implementation, and support of precision RF measurement systems.
  • Be capable of managing risks to financial, technical, and schedule objectives and mitigating any risks.
  • Participate in proposal efforts to address new opportunities. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering, with demonstrated leadership and management experience.
  • Proven experience developing and managing labor and material cost estimates.
  • Strong project management experience overseeing complex technical projects from engineering design through manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and coordinate activities across engineering, production, and test organizations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate risks and make sound business and technical decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and take prudent risks to achieve project and organizational objectives.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making capabilities in a fast-paced technical environment.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
  • Due to the nature of NSI-MI Technologies' programs and products, applicants must have the legal right to work in the U.S. and additionally must be legally authorized to access export-controlled information and source code.
  • Domestic Travel up to 10%

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with earned value techniques.
  • Experience with precision motion control, antenna and/or antenna or RF design and measurements
  • Experience with Aerospace development programs and knowledge of DoD procurement practices.
  • Experience managing subcontracts and or developing and implementing anechoic chambers.
  • PMI training or certification
