What does this role look like?
This position will be badged and accountable to the Global Supply Chain Director for Strategic Missile Defense (SMD) Strategic Missile Defense (SDS) mission area. This position will oversee a team of Subcontract Program Managers (SPMs) that are directly responsible for supplier execution.
As part of the NGI Subcontract Leadership Team, this role will offer you the following daily key responsibilities:
• Support the NGI Program Office in execution of the overall program. Maintain a clear understanding of the mission purpose and program milestones. Ensure that program priorities are flowed down to the subcontract management team members and suppliers.
• Monitor and support each SCMT as they manage the overall cost, schedule and technical execution of their subcontractor. Each SCMT is expected to actively manage the supplier in delivering solutions on budget and schedule and develop and implement correction actions when necessary.
• The Subcontract Program Managers (SPMs) on NGI are also the CAMs (Cost Account Managers) for their SCMTs and suppliers. Ensure that cost reporting and forecasting are accurate each month.
• Responsible for providing status reporting as required and support Global Supply Chain business rhythm
• Travel (up to 50%) to the customer and subcontractor locations is required.
This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near one of our Lockheed Martin Space facilities in either:
Denver, CO , Rocket City USA: Huntsville/Courtland AL ,or Sunnyvale, CA and be expected to work in the office as needed and as appropriate.
Basic Qualifications
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• 10+ years overall experience, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a combination of subcontract and/or program management.
• 2+ years of overall experience in working with large (over $50M) subcontractors.
• 5+ years of overall experience as a program manager in the capture and development phase.
• Technical knowledge of space and missile products.
• You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Desired Skills
To be effective, ideally, you should also have:
• Three years of current experience on large cost plus government programs
• Experience as an in-house program manager, with proven track recording of delivering space or missile products
• An engineering background
• Experience with managing all contract types: Cost Plus, Incentive Fee, Firm Fixed Price contract types
• Proven record of managing and delivering critical, large subcontract products, with focus on complex development subcontracts to deliver on time and within budget
• Experience in all phases of program capture. Prior experience working on a proposal team, and generating proposal products (program management / technical / cost volumes, basis of estimates (BOEs), build of material (BOMs), etc).
• Control Account Management (CAM) certification and experience
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $198400.00 - $368400.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
