We highly value our substitutes.  Substitutes may work in a variety of areas depending upon their skills and preferences.  

 

Subbing provides you with the flexibility of accepting or rejecting work opportunities.  It also provides you with valuable work experience, networking with our administrators, faculty, staff and families while developing teaching experience and becoming familiar with district policies and procedures.

Instructional Substitutes fall into 3 categories based upon education level: 

 
  • Level 1:  New York State Certified Teacher

  • Level 2:  Out-of-State Certified Teacher or Bachelor's Degree

  • Level 3:  Associate's Degree or 60 credits from an accredited college or university (transcripts required)

  • Teacher Assistant: Level 1 Certification

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 
  • Fingerprint clearance through New York State Education Department 

  • Minimum Education: Associate's Degree or 60 credits from an accredited college or university
