Function / Position Summary
Provide office support to instructional and administrative personnel to ensure organized and efficient operations within the school or department. Maintain confidentiality of student/staff information in the school/department and in the community.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist visitors, students, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Answer and route phone calls; take accurate messages as needed.
  • Perform general clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, copying, scanning, and managing correspondence.
  • Assist with student check-in/check-out procedures and maintain accurate attendance records when assigned.
  • Support front desk operations, including visitor management and issuing badges.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information in accordance with district policies.
  • Provide support with scheduling, recordkeeping, and other administrative tasks as directed by campus administration.
  • Follow established office procedures and respond to routine inquiries.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience / Knowledge
  • Previous secretarial experience in a school setting (preferred).
  • Extensive knowledge of office equipment (fax, intercom, phone, and copier).
  • Accurate typing/keyboarding skills.
Physical Demands
  • Requires prolonged sitting or standing
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. with proper technique.
  • Occasionally requires stooping, bending, and reaching.
Terms of Employment
  • Employment is on a temporary / "as needed" basis.
  • Salary and benefits as established by the Board of Education.

  • Hourly Rate: Sub Secretary- $19.00/ Sub Clerical $16.00
