United Protective Services is looking for a full time Security Officer to work at a class A Officer in the downtown area of Houston.

The candidate must be customer service oriented, must be willing to greet people with a warm smile and assist all visitors with entry. Candidate will provide security detail as outlined in the post orders and establish working relationships with customers, local law enforcement and fire departments. Security personnel will always perform job duties with a constant awareness of surroundings, making note of all activity that takes place in the assigned area. Security Officers must maintain a professional image and always demonstrate excellent customer service.

Job Duties ·

  • Enforce all building/property rules.

  • Follow site/client Post Duties.

  • Report any unsafe activity.

  • Report any signs of vandalism.

  • Aids in maintaining an orderly workplace.

  • Trains new personnel on the proper procedures and policies under direction of management.

  • Makes decisions regarding the safety & security of the site with the aid of United Protective Services post orders.

  • Maintains daily activity logs in accordance to post orders.

  • Creates incident reports for unique incidents on site.

  • Observes and reports all suspicious activity in accordance with post orders.

  • Ensures all United Protective Services equipment is well maintained and accounted for before, during and after each shift.

  • Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to work outside in the elements.

  • Additional job duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Superior customer service skills are required!

  • Must be able to engage in conversation with clients, customers and vendors.

High School Diploma or GED
