ABOUT THE TEAM & ROLE
We areย looking forย a strategic and execution-minded Peopleย Op'sย & Talentย Partnerย to own, scale, and elevate the talent lifecycle, employee experience, and HR operations for our STX Americas region (New York, Houston, and Mexico). Sitting at the heart of our regional business, thisย regional ownershipย role bridges the gap between the high-levelย peopleย strategy and seamless day-to-day execution. You will design,ย optimize, and oversee our regional HR operations, proactive recruitment, high-impact talent retention strategies, and regional Traineeship program. This role sits at the intersection of talent acquisition, HR business partnership, and regional operations for STX Americas. We are looking for a seasoned Peopleย professionalย who brings depth across all three disciplines and the credibility toย operateย as a true business partner to senior leadership.ย

This roleย requires someone who thrives in a dynamic environmentย and whoย wantsย toย play a key part in how people experience STX day to dayย -ย from their first day onboarding, to the workplace they show up to, to the support they receive when they have questionsย or when in need of advice.ย The impact is meaningful and visible across the business.ย
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead full-cycle recruiting across the Americas, from sourcing through close, partnering with regional and global hiring managers across all business functions.
- Own andย manage end-to-end HR Operations for the US (New York & Houston) and Mexico offices, (contracting, onboarding, offboarding, payroll coordination, benefits administration, offboarding)ย , including contracts, systems access, documentation, desk setup, and maintaining accurate employee records throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and internal policies
- Serve as the primary point of contact for HR systems and external partners, including payroll, benefits, immigration, and IT vendors, ensuring smooth coordination on people-related matters.
- Own theย regionalย US Traineeship and supportย our globalย recruitment and employee development initiatives by coordinating interviews,ย assistingย with hiring processes, organizing training sessionsย & rotations, and trackingย the success of the initiative.
- Partner with local leadership onย HR & Talent topics,ย officeย cultureย and employee experience, ensuring the Americas offices reflectย STX'sย values at a regional levelย whileย maintaining global standards.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 5-10 years of experience across talent acquisition, HR business partnership, and HR operations, ideally within a fast-paced corporate or trading environment
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset with a proactive approach and willingness to take on tasks of all sizes,ย while feeling at ease providing feedback orย challengeย senior stakeholders.ย
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Experience coordinating with internal and external stakeholders; familiarity with ADP TotalSource and/orย HiBobย is preferred.
- Working knowledge of US labor lawย required; with a familiarity with Mexican employment strongly preferred.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSย
STX intends on offering the selected candidate a competitive base salary withing the range of $95.000 USD - $140.000 based on several objective factors such as relevant experience, location, holistic skillset, and applicable licenses and certifications. The candidate may also be eligible for discretionary compensation asdeterminedannually within thecompanyfiscal year.ย
