Job description

Certified Medical Assistant Or Licensed Practical Nurse

The Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse will provide professional nursing or medical assistant care as needed at an industrial clinic in Sturgeon Bay, WI. Duties include:

  • Greet and room patients, record vital signs, and collect medical histories.
  • Coordinate provider schedules, manage appointments, and prepare patient charts.
  • Educate and instruct patients and families as directed within scope of licensure or certification.
  • Prepare for and assist medical providers with in-office procedures and administer medications and immunizations.
  • Maintain exam rooms and equipment in accordance with infection control standards.
  • Monitor and restock medical supplies to ensure readiness for patients.
  • Schedule patient appointments for lab draws and process lab work as needed.

Qualifications:

BLS Certification Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers from approved program. (Can be obtained on the job).

Medical Assistant: Certified as a Medical Assistant, or Registered Medical Assistant through an approved accreditor preferred, however can train on the job.

Licensed Practical Nurse: Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing. Valid Practical Nursing license in the state of WI through an approved accreditor.

Shift: Working Casual Call (meaning you work as needed), primarily looking to staff on Thursdays and Fridays at a local Industrial Clinic in Sturgeon Bay, WI.

High School or better.

Associates or better in Nursing or related field.

General Education Diploma or better.
