Job description

Join Joshua Tree Experts Tampa as a Groundsman and play an important role supporting safe, professional tree care operations in the field.
We're building a reliable, safety-focused operation from the ground up, and Groundsmen are essential to how our crews function day to day. This is a hands-on entry-to-early-career role for someone who wants to learn the trade, work hard, and grow within a professional tree care team.
About the Role
Groundsmen work alongside climbers and Crew Leaders assisting with tree removals, pruning, stump grinding, and cleanup. This role requires physical effort, attention to detail, and strong communication - including professional interaction with customers and the public on job sites.
What You'll Do
  • Assist with equipment and vehicle preparation
  • Support pruning, removals, stump grinding, and cleanup
  • Maintain safe drop zones and traffic control
  • Operate chainsaws, pole saws, chippers, and related equipment
  • Load and unload debris
  • Follow direction from Crew Leaders and Climbers
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Follow all safety procedures and policies
  • Work 40+ hours per week, including in adverse weather

What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 2 years of tree care operations experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Ability to lift 25+ pounds
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions
  • Strong communication skills and reliability
