Responsibilities
  • Under very limited supervision, drives development and execution of product/portfolio strategies and plans, taking into account product life cycle stage and the customer experience.
  • Leads development and implementation of marketing, sales and all other activities, as needed, to achieve the necessary business outcomes.
  • Independently leads needed market, economic and competitive evaluations that affect product performance.
  • Independently performs fact based data analysis and interpretation to identify critical business insights.
  • Leads completion of needed advanced data models and analytics.
  • Independently identifies and prioritizes new features, including market analysis, business case development and driving prioritization.
  • Leads and executes large, complex new product development initiatives and other marketing/enterprise programs across large, cross-functional work teams.
  • Actively coaches and mentors others in less senior positions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements

Master’s degree or equivalent* in Product Marketing, Economics, Business or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years work experience in functions focused on product management, market analysis or research, or equivalent work experience. The employer will alternatively accept a PhD degree in Product Marketing, Economics, Business or related field of study plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years work experience in functions focused on product management, market analysis or research, or equivalent work experience. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree in Product Marketing, Economics, Business or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or 7 years work experience in functions focused on product management, market analysis or research, or equivalent work experience in lieu of a Master’s degree or equivalent* plus 5 years of experience.

  • Proficiency with Agile and Scrum practices and a demonstrated ability to work with software developers, data engineers and/or data scientists breaking down complex requirements;
  • Familiarity with how transportation networks operate and the key challenges facing shippers aiming to optimize their supply chains, and experience building software, APIs, or other digital tools that optimize supply chains;
  • Experience building, and maintaining, an iterative roadmap for a digital delivery-promise product that utilizes large-scale data sets;
  • Proficiency with cloud-based software project management tools like ADO and/or roadmap management tools like Productboard;
  • Understanding of cloud technologies like Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP;
  • Experience designing and interpreting A/B tests to gather insights – and proficiency with analytics tools that gather those insights – that help to shape the product roadmap;
  • Superior knowledge of competitive, market and economic factors affecting product performance and ability to perform fact based data analysis;
  • Expert communication and presentation skills, quantitative, problem structuring and solving skills;
  • Superior executive presence, human relations, networking and influencing skills;
  • Strong project management and project management leadership experience.

This position will be hybrid in Collierville, TN and candidates must live within a 50-mile radius. This position is hybrid, meaning that employees will be required to work at a FedEx office location up to several times per week.
