Job description

Company Description

American College Development Solutions (ACDS) is an international organization dedicated to the development of junior athletes into College-bound student-athletes, helping to expand their academic, athletic, personal and life skill-sets, while guiding them towards their ultimate goal of joining the ranks of the NCAA.

Since 2013, ACDS has pioneered student-athlete development in Asia, an initiative that is forecasted to double the number of NCAA-bound junior golfers from China by 2018.

ACDS is proud to be an Official Partner of the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA), which stands as the gold standard of junior golf worldwide. ACDS lends its name to the ACDS Junior All-Star Series, the collection of AJGA events for players ages 12 - 15 and a primary focal point for College coaches. ACDS and the AJGA share a mission to help junior golfers achieve their goals of playing College golf and earning College golf scholarships.

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

ACDS Internships (College Golf Development Assistants) are opportunities for individuals excited about supporting the development of the next generation of prominent College and professional golfers, while gaining once rewarding experience at a highly innovative, multi-national organization.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Interns will have the opportunity to work on various activities in the organization, as part of the U.S. or China Team, including the planning and operating of junior golf tournaments and other ACDS events, working with various partner organizations such as golf associations, sponsors and junior golf academies, and will provide invaluable mentorship to the junior golfers enrolled in ACDS Programs.

While ACDS Internships are offered year-round at both ACDS U.S. and ACDS China locations, and involve occasional travel, during the summer season internships are solely focused on ACDS Summer Golf Tours.

ACDS Summer Golf Tours run between May and August, and are exclusive to ACDS Program Members. ACDS Summer Golf Tours are specifically designed to allow junior golfers to build their College golf resumes on the junior golf circuit in the U.S. Junior golfers and families travel with ACDS Staff across the U.S., competing in junior golf tournaments honing their skills, improving their status and ranking, showcasing their talent to College coaches, and growing as individuals.

For candidates interested in summer internships, interns will follow a specific schedule of travel between junior golf events and College campuses. During this time, Interns will chaperone junior golfers' and their parents and will be responsible for the family's logistics, positive experience and overall goodwill. Intern may be required to drive players and families between tournaments, hotels, airports, and College campuses, and will travel with both ACDS staff and other Interns.
