The ideal candidate has experience in a broadcast, live production, television, studio, soundstage, or similar media environment and understands how these technologies work together. You will work alongside a highly experienced engineer, providing hands-on support, troubleshooting, installations, maintenance, and day-to-day technical coverage.

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot studio, broadcast, AV, and production systems.
  • Troubleshoot SDI video systems, NDI, signal routing, patching, and related studio infrastructure.
  • Support TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, multicast, and network connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot Linux and macOS systems, including SSH, command-line navigation, and basic log analysis.
  • Support live production, streaming, podcast, and soundstage technology.
  • Assist with encoders, servers, routers, switches, and other production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot issues quickly and logically, including during live or time-sensitive production.
  • Support media workflows involving SRT, RTMP/RIST, H.264/HEVC, and cloud media platforms such as AWS.
  • Provide technical coverage when the senior engineer is traveling or unavailable.
  • Collaborate with production, IT, engineering, and studio teams to resolve issues.

Required Qualifications

  • 2- 5+ years of experience in broadcast engineering, studio systems, live production, media technology, sound stage systems and/or networking
  • Must have experience working in a studio, broadcast, television, live production, soundstage, or similar media environment  supporting technology
  • Able to support a combination of broadcast/studio technology, AV systems, networking, and systems administration
  • Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting and TCP/IP fundamentals.
  • Understanding of SDI, video routing, signal flow, and/or NDI.
  • Experience to support TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, multicast, and network connectivity.
  • Experience working with Linux and macOS.
  • Able to remain calm and collected under pressure.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Comfortable working onsite across DTLA and Hollywood.
  • Experience with 3G/6G/12G-SDI, PTP, multicast/IGMP, SRT, RTMP, or RIST.
