Job description

The University of Tennessee is seeking a highly organized and collaborative Production Manager toย 
oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of interactive learning and digital courseย 
development projects. This position will lead production workflows for Jumpstart initiatives andย 
other large-scale instructional development projects while also contributing directly to theย 
development of Interactive Learning Objects (ILOs) and Interactive Learning Experiences (ILEs).

The Production Manager serves as a central operational lead within the Interactive Learningย 
Technologies(ILT) team. The primary responsibility in this role is to manage the day-to-day ILOย 
production schedule of the Jumpstart program. This role will work closely with Digital Learning'sย 
instructional design team and media studio team, while providing direct supervisory responsibilityย 
to interactives developers and visual design team members. This role requires strong projectย 
management capabilities combined with hands-on experience in online learning and educationalย 
technology development.

Required Qualificationsย 


Education:

  • ย Masters degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, Project Management, or related fieldย 


Experience:ย 

  • Experience developing Interactive Learning Objects (ILOs) and Interactive Learningย 
  • Experiences (ILEs) in a Higher Education environment.ย 
  • 2 years serving in a project lead capacityย 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience with instructional design methodologies and online learning best practicesย 
  • Experience with tools such as Articulate 360: Storyline and Rise, H5P, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platformsย 
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG - POUR Framework)ย 
  • Ability managing complex digital learning or multimedia production and multiple concurrent projects and deadlinesย 
  • Experience developing online learning content within a LMS environmentย 
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project coordination skillsย 
  • Experience collaborating with internal cross-functional creative teams as well as SMEs, and other stakeholders.

Experience:ย 

  • Build and implement interactive learning experiences to be used within Canvas LMS courses.
  • Experience with Canvas LMS integrations
  • Ability to design and develop simulations, virtual tours, scenario-based learning, assessments, branching interactions, and multimedia learning components
  • Ability to manage and develop pre-production materials such as flowcharts, storyboard/scripts for eLearning projects.ย 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:ย 

  • Knowledge of UDL
  • Familiarity with multimedia production workflows and quality assurance processesย 
  • Strong leadership and coordination abilitiesย 
  • Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on production workย 
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsย 
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, collaborative production environmentsย
