Job description

We are currently looking for a full-time Draftsperson to join our team. This role will be to support the team’s Project Managers with drafting and other responsibilities. This role has long-term potential to transform to a full-time Project Manager, based on performance and upbeat attitude with a true dedication to the mission stated above.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Efficiently drafting and picking up red marks
  • Collaboration with colleagues
  • Scheduling/coordination with contractors, engineers, designers, and the Department of Buildings

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
  • Expertise in AutoCAD
  • Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficiency in Microsoft platform & programs
  • Excellent comprehension of architectural and construction documents
  • SketchUp knowledge (desired, but not required)

The ideal candidate will be:

  • An excellent communicator, capable of effectively corresponding via phone, e-mail, and in-person
  • Self-motivated and driven, with the ability to follow-through on tasks and goals
  • Enthusiastic and accountable with a desire and ability to work as part of the team
  • Able to focus on and complete demanding, time-sensitive tasks
  • Adaptive to suddenly changing priorities
  • Able to coordinate with multiple team members as well as be comfortable working independently
  • Detail-oriented and client-focused
  • Will to travel occasionally to Manhattan for job meetings (our Somerville office is directly across the street from a NJ Transit Rail Station).
