Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced SharePoint Information Architecture & Governance Lead to oversee enterprise-wide SharePoint Online architecture, governance, compliance, SPFx development, and M365 backup administration. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SharePoint Online, Microsoft Purview, SPFx development, governance automation, metadata management, and M365 backup platforms such as AvePoint or Veeam.
Key Responsibilities
- Information Architecture & Governance
- Design enterprise-wide SharePoint Online architecture, taxonomy, metadata, and content models.
- Define governance standards for site provisioning, lifecycle management, naming conventions, and permissions.
- Lead SharePoint content audits and remediation efforts for ROT content cleanup.
- Implement metadata-driven navigation, enterprise search optimization, and content discoverability strategies.
- Manage SharePoint governance including access reviews, permissions remediation, storage quotas, and external sharing controls.
- Compliance & Data Protection
- Implement Microsoft Purview governance controls including:
- Sensitivity Labels
- DLP Policies
- Retention Labels & Policies
- Adaptive Scopes
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Cybersecurity teams to support SOX, GDPR, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Develop governance KPIs, reporting dashboards, and compliance monitoring processes.
- SPFx Development
- Architect and develop SPFx web parts, extensions, and application customizers using:
- React
- TypeScript
- Microsoft Graph API
- Build reusable SharePoint components, templates, dashboards, and portals.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines, source control, automated testing, and deployment processes.
- M365 Backup Administration
- Administer AvePoint or equivalent M365 backup solutions.
- Manage backup policies, recovery operations, compliance reporting, and platform monitoring.
- Perform tenant-level and item-level recovery operations while ensuring RTO/RPO objectives.
- Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of SharePoint enterprise experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on SPFx development.
