For this Head Coach role, we are looking for an individual who passionate and enthusiasm for the fitness is infectious, palpable, and pure. A person who leads with a servant's heart and truly cares about the people they serve. 
Duties and expectations associated with Head Coach position include, but are not limited to:
Be a Culture Champion 
  • Responsible for creating and modeling a positive, high energy, respectful OTF studio environment.
  • Responsible for marketing, organization and execution of community outreach and studio in-reach efforts to grow the business.
  • Responsible for initial and follow-up contact & communication with new, current, and former OTF members.
  • Primary responsibility for the planning, coordination, execution and staffing of OTF events including Fitness Challenges, Clinics, out of studio workouts, etc.
  • Handle member concerns in a professional, objective manner with the goal of resolution and retention. 
  • Support Studio Manager in various activities both inside and outside the studio including, but not limited to, fitness class schedules, monitoring utilization, coach training & continuing education.
Leader/Mentor:
  • Lead by example and through service.
  • Model punctuality, process excellence, and behavioral excellence
  • Flexible to work some morning, evening and/or weekend hours as needed.
  • Jump in and assist wherever the need arises, eg. Member service, front desk help, employee absences, etc.
  • Maintain friendly, yet professional demeanor with Members and Staff.
  • Learn and execute and model all fitness, sales, and operational processes proficiently.
  • In parallel with the Studio Manager, responsible for managing all Fitness aspects of the OTF fitness staff using the OTF business and coaching model.
  • Recruit, hire, train and educate new OTF Fitness Coaches for success in achieving business performance objectives.
  • Responsible for managing the organization and cleanliness of the training floor, as well as all other areas of the studio.
  • Evaluate, review and coach the fitness training staff on program design, lesson plans, first-visit processes, etc.
  • Conduct weekly/monthly fitness staff meetings and attend all relative, mandatory webinars, continuing educational trainings, and other requested corporate meetings.
  • Lead/instruct a minimum of 14 OTF coaching sessions per week, including weekends if/when needed or instructed by your Studio Manager or ownership.
  • Maintain current, active employee files which include resume, CPR cards, fitness certifications, disciplinary items, performance evaluations, emergency contact info, I-9 form and more.
  • Work diligently to ensure that processes are fulfilled per the company policies.

Fitness Business Manager:
  • Participate in weekly business planning meetings with Studio Manager.
  • Responsible for building OTF attendance, retaining current clientele, increasing membership numbers, and achieving monthly revenue and membership goals.
  • Responsible for creating, monitoring, and updating OTF class schedule on a daily, weekly and monthly basis in the MBO system.
  • Monitoring class utilization and providing feedback to the Studio Manager to ensure current and future class count is appropriately balanced between member needs and studio needs. 
  • Lead and assist Fitness Consultants with OTF studio Intro process as well as staying current with pricing options by maintaining 5-10 hours per week schedule at the reception desk in the SA role.
  • Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the fitness studios and the proper working condition of the fitness equipment. This includes performance of minor repairs and maintenance, as well as communicating this in a timely manner to ownership and/or our approved equipment repair services company when required.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work mornings, evenings, and weekends when needed to cover shifts and as requested by your Studio Manager.

Additionally, you’ll need to meet these requirements:
  • 1+ Years of practical Group or Personal Training experience 
  • Hold and maintain a current fitness certification from a Nationally-approved agency that is also approved by Orangetheory Fitness
  • AED/CPR certified
  • Orangetheory Fitness experience is preferred, but not required.
