Job description

About the Role

As a Front Desk & Sales Associate at FS8, you are the face of our studio and the driving force behind our community growth. You set the tone for every member from the moment they walk through the door.

You’re not just working a desk—you’re actively building relationships, guiding guests through their wellness journey, following up on leads, capturing dynamic studio content for social media, and converting trial visits into long-term studio memberships.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Lead Generation

  • Perform proactive outbound lead follow-up (calls, texts, emails) to prospective members and class trials.
  • Connect with trial members before and after class to offer guidance and confidently close membership sales.
  • Drive membership conversions and hit monthly individual and studio revenue targets.
  • Track sales pipelines, process transactions, and maintain accurate records in Mindbody.

Social Media & Content Capture

  • Capture engaging, high-energy photos and short-form videos (Reels/TikTok style) during shifts, highlighting member energy, trainer instruction, and studio atmosphere.
  • Document member milestones, celebrations, and community events to share with the marketing team or post directly to studio channels.
  • Help showcase retail arrivals, daily studio highlights, and behind-the-scenes moments to keep our social channels active and authentic.

Member Experience & Hospitality

  • Greet all members and guests with warmth, enthusiasm, and open body language.
  • Celebrate member milestones with cards, prizes, and photos (Polaroids at key achievements!).
  • Educate clients on FS8 programming, class styles, promotions, and member perks.
  • Assist members with check-ins, pricing options, account updates, and general inquiries.

Studio Operations & Maintenance

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and retail environment.
  • Reset the studio space after designated class blocks (e.g., 9:25 AM, 12:15 PM, and evening close).
  • Execute weekly cleaning schedules, including reformer wipe-downs and equipment care.
  • Review daily shift rosters, milestone lists, and operational updates prior to every shift.

System Access & Data Privacy

  • Safely utilize studio software (Mindbody, Google Drive, Slack, RingCentral, Loyalsnap, Homebase).
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding member data, payment security, and internal communications.
Ideal Candidate
  • Availability: Minimum of 2 shifts per week, including rotating weekend availability.
  • Experience: Sales or customer-facing experience required; fitness, wellness, or social media content creation experience is a strong plus.
  • Content Eye: Comfortable operating a smartphone camera, capturing clean/engaging video content, and understanding social media trends (Instagram/TikTok).
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to make phone calls and conduct in-person sales conversations.
  • Organization: Highly organized, punctual, and able to multitask in an energetic environment.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable operating or learning client management and booking platforms.
Perks & Compensation
  • Competitive Base Pay: Hourly rate plus performance-based sales commission.
  • Free Membership: Complimentary Unlimited FS8 membership (with peak class booking limits).
  • Retail Discounts: 25% off all studio retail items.
  • Apparel: Up to 2 pieces of FS8-branded gear provided.
