Job description

The Studio (Graphic) Artist Intern will support the Studio Department by partnering with Studio Artists and Art Directors to execute a wide range of print and digital production work. This role offers hands-on experience seeing projects through from comp to final execution, providing valuable exposure to real-world client work and portfolio-building opportunities across a diverse set of brands.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. They are receptive to feedback, able to apply it effectively to their work, and eager to learn. A basic understanding of print pre-press, along with knowledge of motion design, UI design, and front-end web design, is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support Studio Artists and Art Directors in finalizing print and digital materials
  • Collaborate and communicate with Studio Artists, Art Directors, and cross-functional partners
  • Create clean, consistent files from comp through final artwork
  • Retouch and manipulate imagery
  • Use design software across a variety of media
  • Meet tight deadlines across multiple clients
  • Apply change-order edits after creative reviews
  • Assemble presentation materials as needed

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate, or soon to be graduate from a Graphic Design program or similar field
  • Experience in using the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, AfterEffects, etc.), bonus to have experience in Figma
  • Basic knowledge of layouts, typography, line composition, color, and other graphic and web design fundamentals
  • Working knowledge of generative AI
  • Organized, with a strong eye for detail
  • Openness to feedback and direction
  • Compelling portfolio of graphic design work
