Job description

Description of the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at Always Best Care Senior Services of Studio City . The Caregiver provides assistance and support to our clients in their daily activities, promoting their independence and well-being. Our clients live in the following area: Valley Village, Burbank, Studio City, North Hollywood and surrounding areas.

  • Referral program. $150 for every caregiver you refer who we hire and who completes 100 hours of work
  • Millage reimbursement is available when using your own car to transport clients or do grocery shopping/picking up medication for clients

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care (diaper changing) and dressing
  • Providing medication reminders
  • Preparing and serving meals according to dietary restrictions
  • Provide light housekeeping
  • Assisting with mobility and transferring clients
  • Ensuring a clean and safe environment for clients 
  • Engaging in conversation and providing companionship to clients
  • Monitoring and reporting any changes in client's condition to the appropriate supervisor
  •  Some clients require that caregivers go grocery shopping, pick up medication at the pharmacy or accompany seniors to their medical appointments

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Caregiver/Home Care Aid for at least one year
  • Two references required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform the duties of the role
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Proof of a TB test taken within the last year showing clear results
  • Able to complete in-person orientation and online initial and annual caregiver training
