City Connect Coordinator (Academic Counselor)

Monarca Academy

Indianapolis, IN • On-site

Full-time

This job post has expired today. Applications are no longer accepted.

Job description

City Connects Pathways Coordinator

Position begins July 2026 (or earlier if available)

THE OPPORTUNITY

Monarca Academy is a community of social justice‑minded and equity‑oriented educators

working to provide an identity‑safe, affirming space that embraces and lifts up the brilliance of

all students. At Monarca Academy, we eliminate barriers to success for all students, recognizing

that our systems—not our children—are what must be transformed. We reject deficit

perspectives that have long shaped the educational experiences of multilingual learners,

immigrant families, and communities of color.

Inspired by the Latin@ and immigrant experience, we develop leaders through high academic

standards (Ganas), cultural responsiveness (Orgullo), and community building (Comunidad). We

are eagerly seeking team members who exemplify this model and help build the culture that

brings our mission to life.

The City Connects Pathways Coordinator plays a central role in this vision. This individual

ensures that every student receives holistic, individualized supports across academic,

social‑emotional, health, and family domains — while also expanding access to mentorships,

conferences, and career-connected learning opportunities across Indiana. If you are energized by

a collaborative environment that combines an asset‑based philosophy with high expectations for

learning and student well‑being, we hope you will consider joining our professional learning

community.

SCHOOL MODEL

At Monarca, we utilize the three values of Ganas (Perseverance), Orgullo (Pride), and

Comunidad (Community) as our foundation. These values guide not only our academic and

cultural model, but also our way of being — in every interaction with students, families,

colleagues, and ourselves. We use these values to reflect on how we show up for students, how

our lived experiences shape our practice, and how we cultivate a deep sense of belonging. The

City Connects Pathways Coordinator embodies these values by ensuring that every student is

known, supported, and connected to opportunities that honor their identities and aspirations.
