Job description

3D Generalist (Product Animation & Emerging Technology Focus)Who We Are

Duggal Studios, the creative force behind Duggal Visual Solutions, is a collaborative team of artists, technologists, and problem-solvers dedicated to crafting distinctive visual campaigns for global brands. Our work spans CGI, animation, VFX, motion design, retouching, AI-assisted production, and immersive visual storytelling.

Operating from our Brooklyn Navy Yard studio, we partner closely with brands, agencies, and in-house creative teams to produce visually sophisticated content across beauty, luxury, fashion, retail, and experiential marketing.

We’re a lean, highly collaborative team where artists are trusted with real creative ownership and the opportunity to contribute across the entire production pipeline.

We’re committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive culture where curiosity, adaptability, and creative growth are valued. We actively encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds.

The Role

Duggal Studios is seeking a skilled, adaptable, and production-minded New York-based 3D Generalist to join our CGI & Motion team full-time.

This role is ideal for an artist who enjoys wearing multiple hats across product visualization, animation, rendering, compositing, and production support. We’re looking for someone who can comfortably move between technical execution and creative problem-solving while helping our team maintain a fast, flexible, and high-quality production pipeline.

You should be equally comfortable modeling clean product assets, animating polished motion graphics, troubleshooting renders, assisting with look development, and jumping into compositing or production organization when needed.

This is not a siloed role. Our artists collaborate closely across disciplines, and versatility is highly valued.

As our studio continues integrating AI-assisted workflows into production, we are specifically looking for someone who is curious about emerging creative technologies and open to evolving workflows. You do not need to be an AI expert, but you should be excited by the opportunity to experiment, learn, and integrate new tools into a modern production environment. Strong foundational CG skills remain the priority.

Who You Are
  • A highly adaptable 3D generalist with strong artistic and technical instincts.

  • Experienced in product-focused CGI and animation workflows.

  • Comfortable working across multiple stages of production, from modeling through final delivery.

  • Organized and proactive, with strong time-management skills.

  • Curious about emerging technologies and excited by evolving creative pipelines.

  • A collaborative communicator who enjoys working closely with artists, supervisors, producers, and creative leads.

  • Able to balance creative quality with production efficiency and deadlines.

  • Calm under pressure and capable of juggling multiple concurrent projects.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of professional experience in CGI, motion design, or product visualization.

  • Strong proficiency in:

    • Cinema 4D

    • Redshift

    • After Effects

  • Experience with:

    • Product modeling and asset cleanup

    • Animation and motion design

    • Lighting, rendering, and look development

    • Basic compositing and VFX workflows

  • Understanding of render optimization and production efficiency.

  • Familiarity with production tracking and organizational tools such as Notion, ShotGrid, Airtable, or similar platforms is a plus.

  • Experience using AI-assisted creative tools in production or personal workflows is a major bonus.

  • Additional experience with Houdini, Nuke, Substance Painter, Unreal Engine, or generative AI tools is highly valued.

What You’ll Do

As a 3D Generalist at Duggal Studios, you will:

  • Create high-end CGI and motion content for beauty, luxury, retail, and consumer brands.

  • Support projects across modeling, animation, lighting, rendering, compositing, and final delivery.

  • Collaborate closely with the CGI & Motion Supervisor and wider creative team to execute visually compelling work efficiently.

  • Help maintain organized and scalable production workflows across active projects.

  • Assist in developing efficient pipeline solutions and workflow improvements.

  • Explore and help integrate emerging AI-assisted production tools where appropriate.

  • Participate in creative ideation, internal R&D, and pitch development.

  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative studio culture built around curiosity, experimentation, and craftsmanship.

Bonus Points
  • Experience with beauty, cosmetics, or luxury product rendering.

  • Familiarity with compositing workflows in Nuke.

  • Simulation experience (particles, cloth, liquids, etc.).

  • Experience with AI image/video generation workflows and prompt-based creative tools.

  • Strong design sensibilities and typography/motion graphics skills.

  • Photography, lighting, or cinematography background.

Details
  • Full-time, Monday–Friday

  • On-location at our Brooklyn Navy Yard headquarters

  • Pay Range: $70–90k (commensurate with experience)
