Job description
The Training & Development Analyst is responsible for supporting the end users of LAIKA's technical systems and tools and ensuring adoption and consistent use across the studio. This position works closely with the Technology Engagement & Development Supervisor to develop and deliver training and technical support for a variety of in-house and third-party systems across all departments.
Job Functions- Gather requirements for proposed new technology; conduct "story mapping" sessions with users and create actionable user stories for developers.
- Assist pipeline engineers in new product development designs and workflows.
- Develop and deliver presentations for new product rollouts and significant feature updates for existing products.
- Document workflows and identify training needs for production teams to build expertise in LAIKA's tools.
- Conduct testing of new tools and verifications on new operating systems and collect feedback from other testers.
- Report and track bugs and system issues to developers and develop communications for users about known issues and/or outages.
- Work with the Technology Engagement & Development Supervisor to create rich, web-based resources for technology adoption including, but not limited to, application guides, tutorials, release notes, change notifications, and newsletters.
- Survey end users to learn about new use patterns or problems using technology and report findings to developers in the form of user stories.
- Support technology engineers by providing front line support to users, verifying bugs, and testing new releases.
- 3+ years of professional administrative or technical support experience; experience with feature animation or VFX production preferred.
- Experience with technology development, software lifecycle, and engineering terminology.
- Experience with agile software development terms and tools.
- Proficient with MS Office suite and Adobe Creative Suite products.
- Familiar with Mac, Windows, and Linux operating systems.
- Excellent written communication skills; experience with technical writing, a plus.
- Experience with web development and video production, a plus.
