Student Worker or Temp (Regent Life Coach)

Location: Virginia Beach

This position helps support student success by assisting with coaching operations, facilitating and organizing administrative processes, and presenting at workshops, special events, and other student-centered efforts.
Work Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Responsibilities:
  • Support Regent undergraduate through doctoral students in one-on-one and in small groups utilizing skills learned through Regent Life Coaching training
  • Assist in the creation, development, and delivery of online and on-campus student success and career services programs and resources that have a coaching-related focus
  • Provide administrative support, including emails, phone calls, appointment scheduling, etc.
  • Participate in team-wide training and meetings
  • Assist in the collaborative efforts within the Center for Student Happiness as well as other departments in Student Life
  • Provide administrative support to the various Center for Student Happiness teams, contributing to ongoing departmental initiatives

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • A suitable background in coaching, excellent listening skills, and high emotional intelligence
  • Able to communicate to a wide audience and teach concepts clearly and concisely
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with broader team
  • Adaptable to changing circumstances and be able to think quickly in open discussion environments
  • Exhibit a professional Christian work ethic at all times
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Canvas, Google Meets and able to learn other technologies

Salary: $12.77 - $15.00 per hour
