Student Assistant - Student Service

Job Description:
Job Summary
Apply to join Purdue University's Office of Summer and Winter Sessions as an undergraduate program student assistant this summer. Applicants must be pursuing a bachelor's degree.
In this position, you will:
  • Attend and assist with scheduled summer program activities
  • Includes, but not limited to:
      • Check-in and out dates
      • Moving weekends
      • Running program supplies
      • Transport students via golf cart as needed
  • Serve as an information resource, communicating professionally with families, students, guests, and departments
  • Create social media and video content to promote office programs and services
  • Administrative tasks such as answering phone calls and email messages
  • Support professional staff in planning, developing, and hosting program events

Compensation and Hours
Compensation and Hours
  • Starts at $11.00/hour
  • Summer hours: flexible, minimum 10 hours/week up to 15 hours/week, evening and weekend hours required to meet summer programming needs
  • Summer College for High School program dates: 6/21-7/31/26
  • Early Start program dates: 7/11-8/14/26
  • Eligible students may apply for a summer tuition scholarship of up to $2,100

Qualifications
Qualifications
  • Must be actively enrolled at Purdue University
  • Maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA and good academic standing and student conduct standing
  • Previous work experience with programs, projects, social media, or promotion is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Customer service oriented
  • Complete all required Purdue University web certifications and Youth Protection trainings
  • Current Driver's license required
