Position Summary:

The Student Center Worker provides support for the daily operations of the Student Center. This position helps create a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging environment for students and guests by assisting with facility upkeep, event setup, customer service, and general supervision of the space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet students and visitors, provide information about campus events,      activities, and Student Center services.
  • Monitor the Student Center to ensure a safe, clean, and respectful environment.
  • Check out recreational equipment, games, or supplies and ensure proper return      and storage.
  • Assist with the setup and cleanup of events, meetings, or student activities.
  • Operate audio/visual or gaming equipment as needed.
  • Report maintenance, safety, or facility issues promptly to supervisors.
  • Support Student Life staff with office or event-related tasks as assigned.
  • Promote campus engagement and involvement opportunities to students.

Work Schedule:

Typically 5–15 hours per week depending on need and availability. Some evening and weekend shifts may be required.

Requirements:

 Qualifications:

  • Must be a currently enrolled student at NCMC
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently.
  • Customer-service oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends as scheduled.
