What our office does:This officeassists studentsin one stop shop to help students succeed. This position will help students gain knowledge of the college by giving information to peers. They will also sharpen their interaction skills by talking to students about their studies and progress in their classes. They will learn how to work in a professional environment where we will help them polish their academic skills and work retention skills in any field of study.

Position Description

Thisposition aids our students and staff by completing the following duties:

  • Answering and transferring calls on multi-line phone

  • Retrieving and responding to voicemails

  • Filing paperwork, data entry, and archiving old files

  • Assistingwalk-in students

  • Helping manage appointments

  • Participating andassistingin campus events

  • Additionalduties as assigned

Work Experience in our Department supports the following Degree/Certificate Programs:Communications, Global Studies, Hospitality Management, International Studies, Psychology, Sociology, Concierge Management Certificate/degree programs that result in employment where office and customer service skills will be required.   • Be enrolled in at least 6 credits and meet additional eligibility requirements of the Silver State Regents Service Program for summer semester/term employment.

  • * Students cannot work another position within NSHE at the same time they are employed as a CSN College Work Study student.
