Job Summary
Join the heart of Ingram Library¿s operations as a Library Administration Student Assistant! Gain valuable experience in a dynamic academic setting while helping create a welcoming, engaging environment for students, faculty, staff, and the community. In this role, you¿ll support library goals by promoting services and resources and increasing student engagement through marketing efforts. Your work will help strengthen the library¿s role as a vibrant hub for learning, collaboration, and discovery.
Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to develop, curate and manage engaging content for the library¿s social media platforms, update library web pages, and create informational materials such as library info sheets
• May conduct research on marketing and social media trends
• Assist with library events, including designing marketing materials and participating in promotional efforts
• Track and report engagement metrics related to library events and social media activities
• Provide administrative support to the Library¿ Administrative Team and library units, including answering phones, assisting visitors, data entry, and filing
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Enrollment: Minimum of 6 credit hours each semester at UWG
• Academic Excellence: Maintain a semester GPA of 3.2 or above
• Creative Skills: Experience with Canva and social media campaigns
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professionalism: Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor
• Initiative: Self-starter with ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and committed to integrity
• Teamwork: Works well in group settings and contributes positively to team culture
• Adaptability: Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in dynamic environments

Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions

• May sit or stand for periods of time depending on activities
• May be asked to deliver items across campus

Preferred Qualifications

• Class Standing: Sophomore (second year) standing or higher
• Public Engagement: Comfortable speaking and engaging with diverse groups of people in informal and formal settings
• Creativity: Ability to generate fresh ideas for events, campaigns, or content
• Campus Involvement: Experience planning or participating in campus events, clubs or student organizations
