Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: BJU Event Ushers assist the attendees of various programs and events held in the University’s auditoriums by greeting, providing direction with seating, distributing programs, and helping with emergency situations.

Hiring for spring 2026

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet attendees of University programs and events
  • Provide direction and help with seating
  • Distribute programs when necessary
  • Scan tickets for ticketed events
  • Assist with any type of emergency situation
  • Must (occasionally) lift/carry up to 20 lbs.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Must be enrolled as a student at Bob Jones University
  • Ability to engage and communicate well with people
  • Able to think on your feet and make good decisions
