Job description

Position Purpose:
Support the Head Usher in creating and overseeing a high-level usher program for AWM and Charis Bible College events. Maintain a distraction-free environment in the auditorium for conference speakers that promotes a positive atmosphere for guests to receive the Gospel.
Essential Duties:
  • Assist the Head Usher in creating usher program policies and procedures, including ushering, crowd control, interacting with guests to limit distractions, etc.
  • Be an on-site liaison with the Security team, Public Relations team, and Special Guest Relations team
  • Participate in debriefing meetings, training meetings, and team meetings
  • Identify potential risks, constraints, or failure points and communicate those to the Head Usher
  • Handle potential issues that arise with calmness and efficiency
  • Ensure ongoing communications throughout the conference/event with relevant departments and personnel
  • Provide post-event data and reports
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Must sign the Statement of Faith
  • A high school diploma or equivalent education is required
  • A Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Be able to work long days and weekends around events and conferences
  • Must be comfortable standing on your feet for long periods
  • Must pass all required checks

Experience:
  • Ushering and team-leading experience
  • Customer service experience is required
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience
