Salary/Position Classification
  • $14.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • Hours Vary - hours are only available on show/event days; You choose which events you'd like to work. 
  • 100% Remote Work Availability: No
  • Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No
Purpose of Position

As an usher at the Fritz, you play a key role in making sure our guests have a smooth, welcoming, and enjoyable experience. You'll help people find their seats, answer questions, and assist throughout the event to ensure everything runs smoothly.
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Greeting patrons
  • Scanning tickets
  • Providing information about the event or venue
  • Assisting patrons in finding their seats and accommodating special needs, such as wheelchair accessibility
  • Distributing programs and materials to patrons
  • Monitoring assigned doors and section to ensure patrons follow house rules (e.g., no flash photography, maintaining quiet)
  • Managing the flow of guests during intermissions or emergencies
  • Addressing disruptive behavior or any safety concerns
  • Other duties as needed

Minimum Requirements
  • Must have the ability to stand for several hours at a time during our shows
  • Available to work evenings and weekends (shifts are usually 3-4 hours)
