Job Summary

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Jacksboro is accepting applications for an Academic/Student Support Associate. This is a full-time on-site position.

Job Duties

 • Serve as receptionist and perform general office duties including answer phones, greet visitors, data entry, creating correspondence, completing staff and advisory meeting minutes, and handling ingoing/outgoing mail for the campus.

• Provide general information about the college and programs.

• Assist with student onboarding processes.

• Ensure that all activities are conducted within the established guidelines of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

• Review and update documents to ensure compliance with accessibility standards; adapt materials into accessible formats as needed.

• Manage digital communication and organize institutional documentation using collaborative platforms.

• Support administration and faculty in developing and maintaining online learning systems and course content.

• Track participation in various training sessions to ensure completion.

• Assist with campus accreditation requirements.

• Provide clerical support to faculty, administrative, and student services departments as needed.

• Maintain campus publication list.

• Assist with maintaining social and traditional media outlets.

• Performs related work and other duties as assigned 

Minimum Qualifications

• Technical diploma in occupational area required. A comparable combination of education and related employment experience may be considered.
• Proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Minimum of three years of related work experience.

• Associate Degree preferred.

Physical Demands / Working Conditions

  • Sedentary desk work - Sitting for extended periods while performing computer-based tasks, reading, writing, etc.
  • Light physical activity - Walking around campus, standing for meetings or interactions, light lifting/carrying of files or supplies.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying - Moving boxes, equipment, or other items that may weigh up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to navigate campus environments - Walking up/downstairs, traversing uneven surfaces, etc.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications, experience, education, and in accordance with the guidelines established by the Tennessee Board of Regents. This position is a level 3/grade 4 with a beginning salary range from minimum $29,020 to midpoint $36,275 annually.
