Job Summary
The Student Support Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing student basic needs support, student activities, and career service programming. The position oversees basic needs resources and develops programs that promote student engagement, well-being, and success. The position collaborates with campus and community partners to identify student needs and connect students with appropriate resources and support.
Job Duties:
  • Develop, coordinate, and manage student basic needs initiatives, including but not limited to the Campus Cupboard (food pantry), transportation assistance, and Get Help student emergency fund.
  • Provide individualized support to students by assessing needs, connecting students with appropriate college and community resources, and making referrals to the CARES Team and other campus supports as appropriate.
  • Develop and implement student engagement programming that promotes connection, belonging, and participation in the college community, including planning events, coordinating logistics, recruiting volunteers, and evaluating participation and effectiveness.
  • Lead the Student Life Committee's programming efforts by engaging committee members in identifying student interests, developing programming, and coordinating involvement in Student Life activities.
  • Oversee student clubs, organizations, and intramural activities, including providing guidance, coordinating processes and resources, and supporting student participation.
  • Develop and coordinate career services programming and resources that support career exploration, employment preparation, and connections to career opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Student Services unit and other campus partners to develop and implement initiatives that support student retention, persistence, and overall student success.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, education, student affairs, or other helping field
  • 2-3 years of direct student support or related experience
  • Demonstrated experience of planning, organizing, and executing student programs and initiatives
