Associate Director of Advising

The Associate Director of Advising will assist the team in achieving enrollment goals by ensuring student success strategies are implemented in all interactions with students. The Associate Director of Advising is responsible for leading a group of team coaches and is responsible for the professional accountability and development of the advisors under each coach.
Work Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Salary: $50,000 - $55,000 annually
Essential duties:
  • Oversee team coaches to ensure academic advisors are held accountable to department KPI's and program knowledge in all conversations with current students.
  • Lead coaching initiatives that improve student retention by equipping advisors to deliver informed, compassionate, and student-centered conversations that promote persistence and success.
  • Conduct routine one-on-one and group meetings with each team coach and provide a template for which to evaluate each of their team members and program numbers under their purview.
  • Develop team coaches with intentional professional development, regular feedback, and projects which sharpen their skills for potential future opportunities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Higher education experience
  • Excellent analytical thinking
  • Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office, web-based resources, CRM systems, and email
