A Student Sonographer is a trainee who is learning to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams under the supervision of experienced sonographers. They gain hands-on experience in patient care, imaging techniques, and equipment operation while completing their educational program. To thrive as a Student Sonographer, you need a solid understanding of human anatomy, basic sonography principles, and enrollment in an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program. Familiarity with ultrasound machines, image archiving systems, and adherence to safety protocols is expected. Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and a willingness to learn under supervision are essential soft skills.
