Position Overview
OrthoSC is pleased to offer a Student Shadowing Opportunity designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. This experience provides valuable, real-world exposure to clinical environments and the delivery of orthopedic care.
Participants will have the opportunity to observe patient interactions, clinical workflows, and interdisciplinary collaboration across various specialties.
What You Will Experience
  • Observation of day-to-day clinical operations in an orthopedic setting
  • Exposure to patient care processes and provider interactions
  • Insight into teamwork across clinical and support disciplines

Program Details
  • This is an unpaid shadowing opportunity
  • Scheduling and duration will be coordinated based on availability.
  • Participation is contingent upon approval through the application process

Requirements To be considered, applicants must submit the following:
  • Completed Student Shadowing Application
  • Certificate of Completion for OSHA and HIPAA training.
  • Signed parental/guardian consent forms for participants under age 18.

Expectations All participants must:
  • Adhere to OrthoSC policies, including confidentiality and professionalism standards
  • Follow dress code requirements appropriate for a clinical setting.
  • Maintain respect for patient privacy at all times

Application Requirements:
  • Certificate of Completion for OSHA & HIPAA training (available online through Total Medical Compliance for $30)
  • Signed consent forms (if under 18)
